I upgraded my GTX 960 2GB to a GTX 980 4GB today . Still waiting for a GPU work unit to download.
The 980 is a little long in the tooth maybe, but it’s still twice the card I had when I woke up this morning. Not bad. The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is a first-world problem, but I am curious to see how much better this card fares.
In the meantime, I’ll also dust off some recent games and turn up the eye candy a bit. Wrecking Uruks and Nazis was never so pretty.

Nice! My 1070 should be here by the end of the week. The old 960 is going to live in my old desktop, if it’ll fit...

I’ve had no problems.

I’ve managed to get a few GPU work units over the past week. Only running a Radeon 6 950 or something like that. (It was a hand-me-down from someone at work. Prior to that, I was running a Radeon 5770).

It’s bad that AMD has come back to the 5700 series.

A lot of the servers have been updated to the latest 9.6.1 version so hopefully this alleviates a bit of the bottleneck (plus the handful that have come online) . There was a brief period the last couple days when they werent assigning any at all because they were on 9.6 or older.

I haven’t been keeping track of video cards at all in the last few years. I haven’t had much time for gaming (young family, too many projects on the go).
